한국문화예술위원회는 국제교류 네트워킹 프로그램의 일환으로 오는 2025년 10월 20일, ‘아트 브릿지_아프리카와의 대화’ 를 개최합니다. 이번 토크는 한국과 아프리카 예술 현장 간의 상호이해를 심화하고 지속 가능한 네트워크를 구축하기 위한 목적으로 기획되었습니다.

‘아트 브릿지’는 예술을 매개로 한 장기적인 대화와 공감, 그리고 창의적 연대를 구축하는 새로운 시도로, 단순한 문화교류를 넘어, 큐레이터∙예술가∙플랫폼∙언론인 등 다양한 주체들이 각자의 비전과 경험, 창의적 전략을 공유하며 협력의 새로운 가능성을 모색하는 자리입니다. 이번 세션은 라운드테이블 형식으로 진행되며, 아프리카와 한국의 다양한 예술 생태계를 조명하고, 지역적 맥락에서 예술, 큐레이션, 제도적 발전에 대한 통찰을 공유하며, 각자의 실천과 담론이 교차하는 지점에서 아프리카와 한국 간의 예술적 연대의 가능성을 모색합니다.

On 20 October 2025, in Seoul, Arts Council Korea (ARKO) hosts Art Bridge: Dialogue with Africa at the Artist House Lounge, as part of its International Exchange Networking Programme.

The session brings together leading voices from Africa and Korea to foster dialogue and long-term collaboration across the arts. Conceived as a platform for cross-cultural exchange, Art Bridge explores how curators, artists, and institutions can build sustainable networks and shared frameworks for creativity between regions.

Moving beyond traditional approaches to cultural exchange, the programme positions art as a space for imagination, empathy, and solidarity—where diverse practices intersect and new forms of collaboration emerge. Through this roundtable discussion, participants will reflect on the artistic and institutional ecosystems of Africa and Korea, envisioning ways in which contemporary art can contribute to a more interconnected global cultural landscape.
