홍익대학교 미학과에서 테오도어 아도르노(Theodor W. Adorno)의 미학연구로 석사와 철학박사 학위를 받았다. 2020년 <제주화산섬과 용암동굴(세계문화유산축전)>의 아트프로젝트 <불의 기억>(2020) 전시감독, 국제전 <화성에서 온 메시지>(한국화학연구원 주관, 2017)전시감독을 역임하였다. 생태미학예술연구소 대표이며 유니스트(UNIST)의 과학예술융복합전시 자문위원이고 생태예술가그룹인 구글에코 아트리스트 (the Google Group “Ecoart list”)의 일원이다. 대표 저서로 <대중문화와 미술>(미진사, 2014)과 <인공지능시대의 예술>(공저, 도서출판b, 2019), <불의 기억; 자연, 인간, 생명>(크리시드, 2020) 등이 있다.

레오나르도 델라노체는 예술과 기술, 그리고 이론을 넘나드는 문화 사업가이다. 디자이너, 예술가, 사상가들과 협업하며 다양한 프로젝트를 이끌고 있다. 아프리카, 아시아, 남아프리카 지역의 예술가들을 지원하는 Digital Earth 프로젝트를 공동 설립하였으며 인터렉티브 다큐멘터리 필름인 Trust in the Blockchain Society의 감독이다.

이본느 볼카트는 스위스 응용과학대학교의 예술 젠더자연 연구의 책임자로, Plants Intelligence라는 리서치를 이끌고 있다. 최근에 진행한 리서치 프로젝트로는 <Ecodata–Ecomedia–Ecoaesthetics> (2017-2021)가 있으며, 인류세와 관련된 광범위한 이슈들을 풀어낸 프로젝트인 <Eco-Visionaries>의 공동 기획자이기도 하다. 또한, <Times of Waste> (2015–2018) 프로젝트의 선임 연구원으로 프로젝트를 이끈 바 있다.

다이아크론은 2014년 초학문적 연구 및 작품활동을 위해 설립된 플랫폼 겸 스튜디오이다. 뱌크 흐바스 쿠어는 다이아크론의 멤버로, 현대미술 작가이자 큐레이터이다. <다이아크론>과 예술 및 조직 발달 플랫폼인 <프라이머>를 공동 설립했으며, 현재는 코펜하겐 대학교의 컴퓨터 과학 학부에서 새로운 예술 전략을 실행하고자 힘쓰고 있다.

수잔 앵커는 시각 예술가이자 이론가로, 예술과 생명과학의 접점에서 작품 활동을 펼치고 있다. 작품은 『뉴욕타임즈』, 『아트포럼』, 『아트 인 아메리카』, 『플래시 아트』, 『네이처』지 등의 매체에 소개된 바 있다. 2005년 이래 뉴욕 SVA 순수미술 학부 학장으로 재임하며 2011년 직접 설립한 SVA 바이오 아트랩을 통해 전통적 방식과 실험적 미디어를 상호 조화시키는 작업을 계속하고 있다.

김아영은 동시대의 다양한 문제와 신화의 요소를 조합하고, 고대와 미래가 혼합된 도상, 중첩된 시공간성 등을 사변적 상상으로 재조합한다. 주요 참여 전시 및 영화제로는 《우각호 시간》(비데오브라질, 상파울루, 2021), 《다공성 계곡》(일민미술관, 서울, 2018), 부산비엔날레 《열 장의 이야기와 다섯 편의 시》(부산현대미술관, 부산, 2020), 베를린국제영화제 《포럼 익스팬디드》(베를린, 2020) 등이 있다.

예술학, 큐레이터쉽, 미술관학을 전공하고 서울시립미술관 전시과장(2013~7)과 국립현대미술관 전시2팀장(2017~2019)을 거쳐 현재 한국문화예술위원회 아르코미술관 관장으로 재직 중이다.

캐서린 보트릴은 약 20년간 환경지속성 관련 분야에서 종사하고 있는 전문가이다. 주로 기후 완화 정책, 기업을 위한 지속 가능성 전략 개발 및 환경 영향 분석 등을 토대로 전문 지식을 구축하고 있으며, 2007년 Julie’s Bicycle이 설립된 이후로 꾸준히 함께 일하고 있다. 세계 시각 예술분야의 탄소배출량을 예측한 보고서인 Art of Zero (2021)를 집필하였으며, 빅토리아앤앨버트 뮤지엄, 오나시스 문화센터 등 유수 기관이 함께한 Julie’s Bicycle0의 Creative Green 컨설팅 서비스 및 인증 체계 설립 프로젝트를 이끌었다. 환경 및 에너지 혁신기업인 Pilio의 CEO로 재임 중이며, 예일대학교의 환경경영학 석사 과정을 졸업하였다.

야스민 오스텐돌프는 Green Art Lab Alliance의 설립자이자 의장으로 활동하고 있다. Green Art Lab Alliance는 유럽, 중남미, 아시아 지역을 아우르는 50개 문화 단체들이 모여 사회와 환경 정의를 추구하고자 설립된 단체이다. 야스민 오스텐돌프는 예술과 생태를 주제삼아 광범위하게 활동하고 있으며, Julie’s Bicycle (영국), Bamboo Curtain Studio (대만), Cape Farewell (영국), Labverde (브라질) and Trans Artists (네덜란드)등 다양한 기관 등에 재직했다.

현재 백남준아트센터 관장으로 재임 중이다. 백남준아트센터 선임 큐레이터와 삼성미술관 리움의 책임 연구원을 거쳐 미디어아트에 관한 국제 전시 및 학술프로그램을 기획해왔다. 연세대 문헌정보학과를 졸업하고 영국 옥스퍼드대학 사회문화인류학과에서 미술관과 동시대 미술에 관한 연구로 박사 학위를 받았다.

다이앤 드루베이는 We Are Museums의 설립자이다. We Are Museums는 국제적 박물관 및 미술관 변화론자들의 공동체로, 기술 혁신으로 가속화된 기후 위기를 극복하는 방식에 주력하고 있다. 드루베이는 NFT 영역에서도 뛰어난 활동을 보이고 있으며, Tezos의 문화예술 고문을 맡고 있다. 또한, 박물관 디지털 전략 에이전시인 Buzzeum을 설립하였으며 프랑스 문화통신부 및 파리 헤너뮤지엄에서 재직했다.

T. J. Demos는 현대미술, 생태학 분야 및 정치학 등 다양한 분야를 아우르는 미술사학자이다. 현재 UCSC 대학교의 시각미술학과 교수로 재임중이며, Creative Ecology Center의 설립자이자 책임자이기도 하다. 주로 현대미술과 생태학, 그리고 국제 정치학의 교차점을 다루는 글을 쓰고 있다. 최근 저서로는 『Beyond the World’s End: Arts of Living at the Crossing』 (Duke, 2020),『The Routledge Companion on Contemporary Art, Visual Culture, and Climate Change』 (2021, 공동 저자) 등이 있다. 2021년에는 게티 리서치 연구소의 회원이었으며 리스본 MAAT미술관의 Climate Collective의 선임 큐레이터로 “2021 기후비상” 공공 프로그램 전반을 맡고 있다. 현재는 급진적 미래주의에 관한 책을 집필중이다.

Hyunju Yu holds MA and PhD in Aesthetics from Hongik University with research of Theodor W. Adorno. Yu directed the Memories of Fire (2020); the art project of the 2020 Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes (World Heritage Festival), A message from Mars (hosted by KRICT, 2017). She is the Head of the Institute of Ecological Aesthetics and Arts, and also an advisor UNIST's Art & Tech Exhibition, and a member of the Google Group "Ecoartlist". Authored Pop Culture and Art (Mijinsa, 2014), Art in the Age of AI (Bbooks, 2019), and Memory of Fire ; Way of Nature·Human·Life (Cryseed, 2020).

Leonardo Dellanoce is a cultural entrepreneur working in and around art, technology and theory. He collaborates with artists, designers and thinkers on a variety of projects. Among others, he co-founded Digital Earth, a research grant and support program for artists from Africa, Asia and South America; and he directed the interactive documentary Trust in the Blockchain Society.

Yvonne Volkart is responsible for the research development at the Institute Art, Gender, Nature, Academy of Art and Design FHNW Basel, and directs the research project Plants Intelligence, funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF (2022-26). She completed research projects including: Ecodata–Ecomedia–Ecoaesthetics. (2017-21; PI, funded by SNSF); in this framework, she co-curated the group exhibition and book project Eco-Visionaries in collaboration with Karin Ohlenschläger (LABoral, Gijon) and Sabine Himmelsbach (HeK, Basel; 2018-19); Times of Waste (2015–2018).

Bjarke Hvass Kure is an artist and curator. His work consists of artworks, exhibitions and the creation of new organizational forms. He is the co-founder of Diakron and Primer, a platform for artistic and organizational development. Currently he is working on the implementation of a new art strategy for the Computer Science department at Copenhagen University.

Suzanne Anker is a visual artist and theorist working at the intersection of art and the biological sciences. Her work has been the subject of reviews and articles in the New York Times, Artforum, Art in America, Flash Art, and Nature. Chairing SVA’s Fine Arts Department in NYC since 2005, Anker continues to interweave traditional and experimental media in the SVA Bio Art Lab , which she founded in 2011.

Ayoung Kim combines elements of various contemporary problems and myths, and recombines images of ancient and future blends, overlapping space-time, etc. into speculative imagination. Ayoung Kim's solo shows and events include Oxbow Lake Time, Videobrasil, São Paulo, Brazil (2021); Porosity Valley, Ilmin Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea (2018); Words at an Exhibition - an exhibition in ten chapters and five poems , Busan Biennale, Busan, Korea (2020); Forum Expanded, Berlin International Film Festival, Berlin, Germany (2020).

Jade Keunhye Lim majored in Art Theory, Curatorship and Museology. She has previously worked for MMCA Korea (2017~2019) and Seoul Museum of Art (2013~2017) as Managing Director, and currently working as a General Director of ARKO Art Center, the museum run by Arts Council Korea.

Catherine Bottrill has 20 years’ experience working in environmental sustainability. She holds subject expertise in climate mitigation policy, business sustainability strategy development and environmental impact analysis. She has worked with Julie’s Bicycle since its establishment in 2007, and authored the Art of Zero report (2021) that estimated the carbon emissions of the global visual arts sector. From 2016-2019, Bottrill led Julie’s Bicycle Creative Green consultancy services involving Onassis Cultural Centre, Royal Albert Hall and V&A. She is a CEO of Pilio an environmental and energy innovation company. Bottrill holds an MSc in Environmental Management from Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Management.

Yasmine Ostendorf is the founder and convener of the Green Art Lab Alliance, a network of 50 cultural organisations in Europe, Latin America and Asia that is in pursuit of social and environmental justice. She has extensively worked on international cultural mobility programmes and on the topic of art and ecology, having worked at expert organisations including Julie’s Bicycle (United Kingdom), Bamboo Curtain Studio (Taiwan), Cape Farewell (United Kingdom), Labverde (Brazil) and Trans Artists (Netherlands).

Seong Eun Kim is a cultural anthropologist and curator. Kim’s research interest lies in the relationship of media art and bodily-sensory experience, and the mergence of the idea of commons and collective with curatorialship. Kim currently works as a director of Nam June Paik Art Center. She previously worked as a curator and a chief researcher at Leeum Samsung Museum of Art, and curated exhibitions and colloquiums involving media art. Major exhibitions she curated include CAMP After Media Promises(2021), Common Front, Affectively(2018) and Intermedia Theater(2015-16).

Diane Drubay is the founder of We Are Museums, a community of international museum change-makers working towards a climate-resilient future empowered by social and technological innovation. She is very active in the NFT space and acts as arts and culture advisor for the Tezos ecosystem. Beforehand, she created the museum digital strategy agency Buzzeum and co-founded Museomix, a hackathon for museums. Previously, she worked at the French Ministry of Culture and Communication and at the Henner Museum in Paris.

T. J. Demos is an award-winning writer on contemporary art and global politics. He is Professor in the Department of the History of Art and Visual Culture, at University of California, Santa Cruz, and founding Director of its Center for Creative Ecologies. He researches the intersection of visual culture, radical politics, and political ecology, and recently authored Beyond the World’s End: Arts of Living at the Crossing (Duke, 2020); co-edited The Routledge Companion on Contemporary Art, Visual Culture, and Climate Change (2021), was a Getty Research Institute Fellow (Spring 2020). Demos is also Chair and Chief Curator of the Climate Collective, providing public programming related to the 2021 Climate Emergency > Emergence program at the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (Maat) in Lisbon. He is presently working on a new book on radical futurisms.
