2015 국제 레지던시 해외작가 공모 공고

대구문화재단 가창창작스튜디오는 2015년도 해외작가 초청 레지던시 입주작가를 공모합니다. 현대미술로 특화하고 있는 가창창작스튜디오는 해외레지던시프로그램 참가지원과 교류확대, 인큐베이팅 강화 프로그램, 지역커뮤니티 활성화 프로그램 등을 지원하고자 합니다. 국외에서 시각예술분야에서 활발하게 활동하고 있는 젊은 해외작가를 공모를 통해 초청하고, 국내외 작가들과의 국제교류를 통한 문화 이해 및 창작활동을 지원합니다. 젊고 의욕적인 작가의 많은 관심과 신청을 바랍니다.

1. 모집개요 ○ 신청자격 - 공고일 기준 주민등록상 만40세 이하의 해외 거주 미술작가
○ 모집분야 : 순수 현대미술 전 분야 - 회화, 사진, 조각, 설치, 영상, 뉴미디어, 등 ○ 모집인원 및 입주기간 : 해외작가 6명 / 거주기간 선택

5. 의무사항 및 입주조건
○ 가창창작스튜디오 입주작가 이용수칙 준수 및 레지던스 프로그램 이행
○ 주당 30시간 이상 스튜디오 이용
○ 반려동물 및 영유아 체류불가
○ 퇴실시 아카이빙용 포트폴리오 제출
6. 지원자 유의 사항 ○ 제출서류의 내용이 의도적으로 허위 사실이 있는 경우 신청이 취소될 수 있음
○ 가창창작스튜디오의 입주기간 동안 타 레지던스에 동시 입주하거나 입주예정인 경우 신청이 취소될 수 있음

GACHANG ART STUDIO
2015 International Artist-in-Residency Program

The 2015 International Artist Residency Program of Gachang Art Studio is now open.

Daegu Culture Foundation recruits artists of International Artist Residency Program. Gachang Art Studio featured in modern art offers International residency program in which there are Exchange with foreign artists, Incubating program, Local community revitalization program and so on.
The vision of the project is to enhance the understanding and communication between the artists who are working in Daegu and the internationally invited artists through diverse cultural backgrounds. The organizer of the program expects the diverse background and aesthetic interests of the residents will lead to an exciting and successful exchange, and lasting friendships.
We look forward to having a lot of applications from young and passionate artists for the program.

Deadline for applications: February 27, 2015 included

1. General Guide Line of the Program
○ Qualifications : foreign artists under 40 years old
○ Field : All areas of Visual Arts
- painting, photography, sculpture, installation, film/Video, new media
○ Volume of recruitment and duration:
※ 6 international artists : In terms of scheduling preferences, please select your first/second choice of residency period

2. Support
○ One studio per Artist (33㎡, with cooling and heating facility)
○ 300,000KRW for monthly support fund (approx. USD 278 per month, it can be changed depending on currency rate)
○ Round-trip Airfare (economy seats) : only international flight
○ Solo exhibition

3. Application

4. Judgment and Announcement
○ Judge for selections: the Residential Artist Deliberation Commission
○ How artists will be selected: by judging portfolios
○ Judgment schedule : March 4 (wed), 2015.
○ Announcement: via our website on March 9 (mon), 2015.
※ The results will be announced individually and on the website of the Gachang Art Studio

5. Requirements for the Residency Program
○ Abiding by regulations for Gachang Art Studio's resident artist and performing Residency Program
○ Using studio for more than 30 hours a week
○ No pets or children
○ Submit portfolio for archiving when leaving the studio.

6. Notes
○ If you submit a false information about you on purpose your application and permission for the program will be canceled.
○ If you joined or are to join another residency program at the same time during Gachang Art Studio Residency Program your application will be cancelled.
