It has been established as an art space for more than 50 years by renovating and extending the old barn.
It is a theatrical company located at the outskirt of a small city (population of 30 thousands), Holstebro in Denmark. It has been settled as an art space for more than 50 years after the remodification and expansion of old livestock building. It consists of four studios and performance spaces of a Black Room. a Red Room, a White Room, and a Blue Room. Here, several workshops and performances are being held. There is an accommodation space for 30 people to stay. It consists of several types of rooms such as single room, double room, and multiple room. Shower room and toilet are for common use. Basically, it is a system to clean and manage several spaces in charge of users. The library of performing arts and the archives for 50 years of works by ODIN Theatre are well organized. In couple of kitchen spaces, it is available to cook foods individually. There are restaurants and large supermarket within 10 minute walking distance nearby resident area.
The Residence consists of the program to introduce the tradition of ODIN Theatre. On the day of arrival, the program starts with seeing the latest work of ODIN Theatre. After that, everyday from 7AM, traditional training of ODIN Theatre is introduced. Although the training for basic movement, sound, music, and dance is short, it is possible to experience them intensively. Among those created works since 1990s, two of currently directed several repertories are performed everyday. Performances of diverse types are open not only to participants but also to local residents from the ensemble that all actors and actresses of theatrical company perform to the solo performance. Between performances, a work demonstration is performed by main actors and actresses of the theatrical company to show the type of creation. This is a sort of lecture performance in which each actor or actress introduces his or her own experience with a type of performance. Everyday in the afternoon, the program provides a meeting with Eugenio Barba. One can listen to and share the stories of various roles of musicians, office members, and archive operation team in the theatrical company through the meeting. The network among 50 participants from several countries of the world is accomplished naturally by preparing the breakfast, cleaning the spaces, and preparing for the barter performance..

There are many kinds of rooms, such as private rooms, double rooms, and multi-person rooms.
You can experience basic movements, sounds, songs, dances, etc. in a short but intense manner.
The theatrical company provides meals and accommodation during ten days of the program. They provide a buffet for lunch and a dinner through the cooperation with the local community center. For a breakfast, fresh bread will be delivered from a local bakery and participants are welcome to supply their own milk, cheese and cereal. They will provide a separate menu for vegetarians. The accommodation is distributed to a single room and a multiple room arbitrarily by the organizer according to the situation of each participant. BNb could be used at nearby resident area. Because of a tight schedule, there is not enough time to go to downtown and enjoy leisure. They offer the least time to walk nearby seashore within the program.
There are four studio and performance spaces, black room, red room, white room, and blue room, and there are various workshops and performances.
It will be a very interesting program for artists who are interested in the nature of the play and believe in the power of the extreme spirit.
