Purpose

To lay the foundation for revitalizing cultural and artistic exchanges between the two countries by creating an art exchange fund between ARKO and International cultural and artistic support organizations.

To aim strengthen Korean art capabilities through international art exchanges and establish a foothold for entering the international market.

International Partnership in Support of Arts Creation(ISAC) is creating an environment in which artists from both countries can continue to exchange and cooperate.

How it works

Two-way collaboration is promoted by signing MoU and matching budgets with overseas institutions, and specific implementation methods with partner entities are approached customized by country.

  • Utilize a platform for International Arts Joint Fund to expand and accelerate the cooperation relationship to exchange culture and arts between Korea and Netherlands through diverse exchanges △ between artists △ between two institutes of the two countries and △ the hosting of international symposium
  • Enhance the cooperation of two countries through the establishment of a cooperation system for the culture and arts of ‘Inclusivity and/or Innovation’ between Korea and Netherlands

  • 2022 ARKO International symposium: The 2022 ARKO International symposium hopes to change people’s perspectives of the world, by showing that the world needs to be re-created with artistic imagination and action.

Collaboration Structure
  • Discovered excellent cases of the exchange of culture and arts between two countries through the hosting institute for preliminary research
  • Selected a general planner of each country (Korea-Facilitator /Singapore-Producer)
  • Promoted a joint project by four sides of Art Councils and general planners of both countries and held an international arts symposium (online) in schedule
  • Supported private arts exchange projects of both countries through the fund from each country
  • Introduced a three-year collaboration structure through the procurement of a project operation method and a period to discuss the cooperation

  • Created a logo for the joint fund with Arts Council of England and collaborated on promotion
  • Held ‘2016 Korea-UK Arts & Culture Conference’ (in Seoul) and ‘2018 Arts Council of Korea and Arts Council England Joint Fund Evaluation Session’ (in London)
