When you combine resources from the past with the traces we have, the images you create are like ghosts. The form of the ghost we usually imagine is not perfect, and it usually has a message to convey. The role of interpreting it belongs to the people who meet the ghost, and so is the decision whether or not to accept the presence of the ghost. Each piece of the installation Reference Points is an architectural image composed of panoramas from the KECC’s four projects – Sewoon Sangga, the 1st Korea Trade Fair, Yeouido Master Plan, and EXPO ’70 Korean Pavilion – from different times and with different aspects brought together. They are merged or joined after being warped according to the similarity of the shapes appearing in the images.
