2011년 몽골 남고비. 사람들에게 이름과 희망에 대해 인터뷰한 다큐멘터리 형식의 작품이다. 몽골인들은 자르갈(행복), 바야르(기쁨), 에르덴(보석) 등 일반명사를 이름으로 사용한다. 인터뷰 작업을 거치면서 남고비에서 진행될 광산개발과 그에 따른 변화 등을 짐작할 수 있다. 이름을 묻는 짧은 대화가 오고 가는 사이, 우리 모두가 희망이라는 성분을 갖고 살아가고 있음을 직감하게 된다.

For this work in the form of a documentary the artist interviewed Mongolians living in the Southern Gobi Desert about their names and hopes. Mongolians usually use common nouns for their names such as jargal (happiness), bayar (delight), and erden (jewelry). The interviews imply change caused by mining development in the area, while offering the universal hope of brief conversation.
