판소리와 춤으로 구성된 창무극인 여성 국극은 모든 배역을 여성들이 연기하는 여성극으로, 정은영은 전통적인 성별체계를 위반하며 무대 위에서 반복적인 훈련을 통해 만들어지는 젠더의 표상들을 드러내고자 한다.

Yeosung-Gukgeuk is a type of Korean traditional opera consisting of singing called “chang” and dancing where only women perform all the roles. In this the artist wants to reveal the symbols of gender that are made through repetitive practice on the stage that goes against the traditional gender system.
