“Pix Cell-Fire”는 픽셀처럼 작게 축소되어 먼 거리에서 아련하게 보이는 불꽃놀이 영상과 그 사운드로 관객의 시선을 사로잡는다. 그러나 불꽃놀이의 사운드는 이라크 전쟁 당시에 벌어진 야간 폭격의 폭발음과 교묘하게 연계 편집되어있다. 관객들은 너무나 작게 축소된 이미지 때문에 그 의미와 실체를 파악하기 위해 본능적으로 시선의 욕망에 사로잡히게 되지만, 보면 볼수록 모호해지는 픽셀들의 움직임에만 머무를 뿐 결국 그 의미에는 도달하지 못한다.

“Pix Cell-Fire” draws viewer attention with its fireworks-like images, which have been scaled down to small pixels, and the sound the images make. The sound is a subtle mixture of the sound of night bombing raids during the Iraq War combined with the sound of traditional fireworks. Viewers are instinctively caught by the desire to gaze in order to understand the images and their meanings, but in vain as they can only observe the ever more confusing movements of the pixels.
