Tremblement

‘Tremblement’은 불어로 파장, 진동을 의미한다. 김영실은 해질녘의 아파트 주변 도로라는 일상적인 풍경을 흔들리는 영상으로 촬영하고 음악의 파동을 더해 불명확한 흔들림이 만들어내는 두려움을 표현하고자 한다. 관객들은 진동에 의해 원래의 형태가 왜곡되어 실체를 알 수 없게 된 대상을 바라볼 때 느껴지는 두려움과 마음의 파장을 경험하게 된다.

‘Tremblement’ means ‘shiver’ or ‘quiver’ in French. Kim Youngsil aims to express ‘fear’ through flickering images of everyday scenery, such as the roads near an apartment complex at sunset, set to fluctuating music. Viewers may experience the fear and psychological repercussions inherent in looking at an object that is distorted by vibration and therefore cannot be identified.
