김시헌은 실제와 가상의 경계가 명확하지 않은 우리의 현실세계에 대한 표상으로 특정 이미지들을 확대, 복제, 편집하여 드러냄으로써, 마그리트의 ‘이것은 파이프가 아니다 (Ceci n’est pas une pipe)’의 명제를 ‘이것은 꿈이 아니다’ 로 치환시키고 있다.
Kim Shon enlarges, copies, and edits specific images that are signifiers of our real world which does not have a clear boundary between the real and the virtual. In this way he substitutes Magritte’s “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” into “This is not a dream.”
